Chris began his career as a book sales rep in 1984 and has worked for four top STM publishers, all in the Boston area. For the past ten years, Chris and his team at JBL have been building a world-class medicine publishing program specializing in oncology, cardiology, infectious disease, emergency medicine, and other important clinical fields for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. He developed the highly-praised 100 Questions and Answer Series of concise paperback books as well as the Johns Hopkins Patients' Guides series, both designed to educate and empower patients and their families about specific illnesses and medical procedures. The 100 QA series, which now comprises well over 100 volumes, features a number of best-selling health books with sales over a half million copies each.

Nancy began her career in publishing nearly 20 years ago, and has since held positions in textbook sales, marketing, and development for several top publishers including Heinemann, Blackwell Publishers and Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. When Jones & Bartlett Learning acquired Tarascon Publishing in 2008, Nancy was brought on as senior editor to manage and build the Tarascon brand. In the past two years Nancy and the rest of the Tarascon team have helped the product line grown exponentially with seven versions of the Pharmacopeia available for the 2011 edition, new pocket guides in a variety of clinical specialty areas, and a growing list of digital products for all platforms.

Richard J. Hamilton, MD, FAAEM, FACMT

Aside from his duties as Editor-in-Chief for Tarascon, Dr. Hamilton is also chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has been a faculty member at the College since 1997.

A Philadelphia native, Dr. Hamilton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Hahnemann University. After medical school, he was on active duty as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon, performing research in aerospace medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. He subsequently completed a fellowship in medical toxicology at New York University, where he was also a faculty member working in the Emergency Department of New York City's Bellevue Hospital.

Dr. Hamilton is board certified in emergency medicine and medical toxicology and is a captain in the U.S. Naval Reserves. In 2003, he spent two weeks in Ghana, where he participated in the Navy's West African Training Cruise Medical Outreach Program. He was mobilized to active duty for one year in 2004 under Operation Enduring Freedom.

Rebecca Rockel

Rebecca joined Jones & Bartlett Learning in 2009 and has since managed the marketing effort for a variety of different segments within the company, most recently Tarascon Publishing and the Jones & Bartlett Learning Medicine department. Rebecca has a solid marketing background in a number of different industries including high tech and health care, which made her a natural fit for Tarascon and the medicine department. Rebecca graduated with honors from Emerson College with a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications.
