What this Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy covers Tarascon's treatment of personally identifiable information associated with your use of our books and software. "Tarascon" refers to Tarascon and companies working with it to produce the products and process your purchase.

Information Collection and Use

For book purchases we collect only the information required to process and ship your order. For software purchases we collect only your name, email address, and basic demographic information for internal purposes (to best understand the needs of our aggregate customer base). We do not ask your medical school graduation information or date of birth, since we do not link you to large physician databases. (Some companies do this to sell their customer lists to spammers and junk mail companies.) When you register your software with Tarascon, we receive information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Tarascon cookie information, and the page you requested. We use this information solely to customize the content you see, make filling out forms easier, and fulfill any requests you make.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Tarascon will not sell or rent your information to anyone. We will not disclose any personally identifiable information unless we have your consent to share the information, we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested, we must respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process, or we find that your actions violate the Tarascon Terms of Service or any of our usage guidelines for specific products or services.

Tarascon may set and access cookies on your computer, although you can readily disable them.

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information

Software users may edit their Tarascon Account Information and preferences at any time. You may request deletion of your Tarascon account by visiting our Account Deletion page, verifying your password once more and confirming your choice to terminate the account. Information may remain in our archived records after your account has been deleted.

Security

Your Tarascon Account Information is password-protected for your privacy and security. In certain areas Tarascon uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. Changes to this Privacy Policy Tarascon may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
